LESHAN KINDERGARTEN

Architectural design and construction of large 7700sqm kindergarten in Leshan. This playful structure is part of a newly created up-and-coming residential neighbourhood. The design maximizes sunlight in classroom activity spaces and creates a protected play area for children.

 

The central multi-purpose room acts as an indoor/outdoor stage for community activities.  One of the key aspects of the project was the involvement of children and teachers in the design process so that when they eventually occupied the building, they took on a sense of ownership and made the school their own.
